Rascal Does Not Dream, (known in Japan as Seishun Buta Yarō 青春ブタ野郎) began it’s existence as a light novel series, later adapted to an anime.
The anime series starts off with the protagonist seeing a girl dressed in a bunny girl outfit in a library and curious goes to talk to her. I’ll leave it at that as I don’t want to ruin the story for anyone who is interested in watching.
The series flows into the first movie length feature which opens the story up more and provides some explanations of events from the series proceeding it.
Warning it starts to get heavy from this point and you can expect to shed at least a tear or two as the story progresses.
Following this there are 2 more movies which are fairly new releases from 2023 and share more of the stories from the main characters.
You’ll struggle to put the franchise away and most likely want to watch until the end.
This anime is certainly not what I expected and i had it on my watch list for a long time before I eventually gave it a chance. After the first couple of episodes I was hooked and have waited frantically for the final movie to be released. Hopefully the series will continue on further but only time will tell.
